We carry one pad, and it's the one we put under the rugs we clean: Eco Preferred, from Rug Pad Wizard's Eco Diamond Collection.

Pet urine barrier

A moisture barrier keeps accidents and spills from soaking through to your hardwood, tile, stone or carpet.

No latex or rubber

Flooring makers warn that latex and rubber backings discolor vinyl, LVT and LVP. This pad won't stain, discolor or mar any floor.

Plush underfoot

A 31 oz/sq yd felt with a diamond-pattern backing — soft to walk on, and it holds the rug in place.

The pet urine barrier sits between your rug and your floor, so an accident stays in the rug — where we can clean it — instead of soaking into hardwood, tile or carpet. Getting a rug cleaned with us? Add the pad when you drop the rug off and it comes back with your rug.

What people ask us.

How do I measure?
Measure the rug itself — width, then length — to the nearest inch, without the fringe. We cut the pad 2″ in from each edge so the rug lies flat over it and the pad stays hidden.
Will it slide or bunch up?
No — it grips both the floor and the rug, so everything stays put.
Will it stick to my floor, or smell like a new carpet?
Neither. Sticking comes from the clay fillers in inexpensive rubber pads, and that new-carpet smell is off-gassing from added chemicals. Eco Preferred has no latex or rubber, no added chemicals, and no off-gassing.
Is it safe on vinyl, LVT and LVP?
Yes. Flooring makers warn that latex and rubber backings discolor vinyl, luxury vinyl tile and plank. Eco Preferred has neither, and won’t stain, discolor or mar any floor.
Can the pad be cleaned?
Yes — a professional rug cleaner can clean it time after time. We clean pads right along with the rugs we wash.
When is it ready, and how do I pay?
We cut it in about 3 days and text you when it’s ready. Pick it up at 825 N Lime Ave (Mon–Fri 8:30am–4:00pm, Sat 8:30am–12:00pm) and pay at the counter.
